About Us

What began as a shared dream has grown into a way of life.

We’re Gabi Pizano and Jon DeLuca, a husband and wife team who traded city noise for open fields and endless skies. What we found in the soil changed everything.

Our vineyard is built on patience, family, and a deep respect for the land. Each day begins with the steady work of caring for the vines and ends with the quiet satisfaction of watching them grow. The rhythm of the seasons has taught us balance, trust, and gratitude—lessons that shape every bottle we make.

For us, winemaking goes far beyond what’s in the glass. Each pour holds the stories shared around the table, the hands that helped shape it, and the land that continues to inspire us.

Meet the Makers

Gabi Pizano & Jon DeLuca

Our story begins at the table. We both grew up surrounded by good food and meaningful connection. Gabi learned it through from-scratch meals and thoughtful pairings, while Jon found it through curiosity, craft, and a love for understanding how things are made.
Traveling through Europe deepened our shared passion for wine and the places that shape it. Exploring vineyards, sharing meals, and visiting Champagne planted the dream of creating wines that feel honest, grounded, and true to place.
Jon has always felt most at home outdoors. What began as curiosity turned into a love for soil, growth, and the steady rhythm of vineyard life. Together, that blend of heart and hard work became the foundation of Pizano-DeLuca Family Vineyards.
Every vine reflects our vision: wines that tell the story of the land and the people who care for it. Each pour is an invitation to slow down, connect, and savor the moment.

The Farm

Home in the Hills of Statesville

Tucked among the quiet hills of Statesville, our vineyard grows in step with the seasons. Mornings often begin with dew clinging to the vines and the soft hum of life moving through the fields. Each row is cared for by hand, shaped by patience and guided by the rhythm of the land.

We’ve learned that great wine begins long before it reaches the glass. It starts in healthy soil, sunlight moving across the rows, and the daily work that connects us to this place. From sheep grazing between the vines to the changing colors of the seasons, the farm has a life of its own—one that keeps us grounded and grateful.

This land is where our family learns, works, and grows together, building something lasting with every season.

Our Approach

Where Time and Nature Work Together

Once the grapes leave the vineyard, our focus turns to patience, precision, and trust in the process. Every decision—from when to harvest to how long each wine rests—is guided by the belief that less can often do more.
In the cellar, we keep things simple and intentional. Fermentation unfolds naturally, and the wine is given the time it needs to find balance. This slower pace allows each bottle to hold onto the character of the fruit and the story of the season it came from.
Our hope is that every wine feels genuine and grounded—a true reflection of the land, the work, and the care behind it.
